This week's shows were far less freaky than the Seattle venue. Not that there weren't a few characters in NY.
I was happy to see the Virginia fellow get through to Hollywood. His name is Chris and he's from Chesapeake.
I heard on a radio program that a young lady from Tuesday night, Melissa, could make it to the final five. Interesting prediction so early on!

Last night in Seattle, well.... I'm rather speechless (a feat in, and of, itself!). Do these people not have family and friends who are protective and honest? "Total freak show" is the consensus out there.... so much for talent in Seattle. It left with Frasier! Heh!
A moment brought tears to the eyes of me and my daughter. She shed more than I did. Any guesses what prompted such tears? It was a freak show, but still we do have hearts at my house. Simon can be awfully cruel, and the other sometimes just can't contain their laughter. Hey, up close and in person, I don' t know that I couldn't contain it either. My kids and I had a few good giggles ourselves.
So, it's Memphis and NY next week for two more nights. I believe that leaves Birmingham, San Antonio, and Los Angeles for the third and fourth weeks. We'll see! Such excitement and entertainment to anticipate!

So... I didn't see any of the opening show. However, word on the street has it that of 10,000 auditions, only 17 were selected.
I heard two funny (pathetic) clips on the radio this morning. No doubt, tonight will provide a redux of sad stories and appalling behavior by rejected auditioners. Makes for funny, if unfortunate, entertainment, yes?
There's this German word ....schadenfreude..which according to dictionary.com means "satisfaction or pleasure felt at someone else's misfortune". Somebody's feeling a lot of that, don't you think? (Simon, for instance?)
What's your take on the evolving Sixth Season? What are you anticipating most ?

Tonight's the night! My son has basketball practice starting at 8. (What is wrong with his coach, you ask?!??) Doesn't he KNOW what tonight is?
Well, I'm going to record it if I can, but if not I will rely on the word of others to find out how goofy the early auditions were.
